Robert Joseph Pavlisko

Robert Joseph Pavlisko, 88, of Mount Pleasant, SC, husband of Mildred Sue Hensley Pavlisko, died Friday, May 24, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in the All Saints Lutheran Church, 2107 Highway 17 North at 11:00 am. Interment will be Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in Beaufort National Cemetery at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends Monday, May 27, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Mr. Pavlisko was born April 13, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late John Pavlisko and Margaret Roth Pavlisko. Bob, as he was known to friends, graduated from Collinwood High School in an accelerated three years in order to join the Navy during World War Two. Between 1943 and 1945 he fueled seaplanes while stationed at Pearl Harbor. Immediately after WW II Bob earned a Federal Communication Radio and Television License and in 1948 married his wife of nearly 65 years, Mildred. Bob had a long career spent working for the NBC television station in Cleveland. In 1987 he retired and moved to Asheville NC, and in 1995 to Mount Pleasant SC.

A religious life was important to Bob, and he worshiped and served at All Saints Lutheran Church. He will be missed by his loving wife, Mildred, his four children, Robert Pavlisko and his wife Rosemary of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Linda Hollifield and her husband John of Pensacola, FL, Joseph Pavlisko and his wife Sue of Kirtland, OH, and Sandra Roethel of Richmond Heights, OH; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
