Robert James O'Leary

Robert James Joseph O'Leary (Uncle Bob), 92, passed away at Sandpiper Nursing and Rehabilitation facility in Mt. Pleasant South Carolina on Sunday March 27, 2022. His funeral services will be held Friday April 1, 2022, in the J Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel. 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends in the Mt. Pleasant Chapel on Thursday March 31, 2022, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.

Uncle Bob was born June 15, 1929, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, son of the late Joseph Francis O'Leary and the late Margaret Vatter O'Leary. Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Peg Brown of Grove City, PA, and brother Bill O'Leary, of New Castle PA.

Bob is survived by his sister, Pat Pugh of New Castle, PA, and his brothers, Donald O'Leary of Indianapolis Indiana, and John (Jack) O'Leary of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, 23 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Bob spent each day of his life bringing joy to everyone that he encountered. He lived a long-fulfilled life and has put lots of smiles on everyone's faces. He liked nothing more than being with his family. Bob provided inspiration to all members of his large extended family. He was everyone's Uncle Bob.
