Robert Lee Murrell, 88, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Virginia "Ginger" Murrell entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 23, 2019. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. Mount Pleasant CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery, 761 Wilson Cemetery Road, Awendaw, SC. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Robert was born May 29, 1930 in Awendaw, South Carolina, son of the late Horace Lee Murrell and the late Annie Eliza Fort. He was a self-employed fisherman among other things and served his country in the United States Marine Corps, 1st Marine Division, during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ginger Murrell; two sons, Mike Murrell (Angela) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Randy Murrell (Dianne) of Port Richey, FL; sister, Janet Davis of Charleston, SC; two grandsons, Chris Murrell (Ashley) of Charleston, SC and Corey Murrell (Samantha) of Tampa, FL; two great-grandchildren, Adrian Christopher Murrell and Sadie Denise Murrell; and several nieces and nephews.

In leau of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
