Entered into eternal rest on the morning of February 11, 2012, Robert Bruce Munro, widower of Ruth Southwick Munro, of Charleston, SC. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Requiem Mass at the Church of The Holy Communion Thursday, February 16, 2012, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Wednesday between 5:00 and 7:30 pm.
Mr. Munro was born March 29, 1930 in Milford, Connecticut, a son of the late Daniel Webster Munro and the late Anna Morton Munro. He was a graduate of the University of Connecticut, a Navy veteran in the Korean Conflict and a member of St. Timothy's Anglican Church. Robert was plant manager for Coburg Dairy and West End Dairy, as well as Borden Dairy and Sumter Dairy. He also was a local housing contractor.
He is survived by three daughters, Debbi M. Everitt (Peter) of Mt. Pleasant, Judith M. Lester (Mark) of James Island and Jennifer R. Munro of James Island; a sister, Doris M. Dunbar of New Hampshire; seven grandchildren, Bryan Everitt, SaraRuth Lester Miller(Jason), Brent Everitt, Lauren Everitt, Katie-Greta Lester, Victoria Everitt and Robert Lester; and a great-granddaughter, Poppy Miller.
