Robert Miller

Robert Miller, 80, of Mount Pleasant, SC, husband of Nancy Johnson Miller, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 21, 2014. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 24, 2014, in St. Benedict Catholic Church, 950 Darrell Creek Trail, Mt. Pleasant, at 11:00 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell with military honors will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, February 23, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. The Rosary will begin at 4:00 pm.

Bob was born September 28, 1933 in Brunswick, GA. A 1959 graduate of The Citadel, Bob served in active duty and as a reservist in the US Marine Corps. He retired from the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Bureau. He was an active member of the East Cooper Outboard Motor Club (Goldbug Island) and the Marine Corps Mustang Association. He was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years; his children, Nancy Whitsett and her husband, Timothy, of Loretto, TN, Susan Kutch and her husband, David, of Villanova, PA, Robert Miller, Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Irvine, TX and Katherine Gierszal and her husband, Robert, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his sisters, Betty Law of Ponte Vedra, FL and Sandra Courson of Brunswick, GA; his brother, Jimmie George of Brunswick, GA; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
