Robert Richard Mesel, 81, of Kiawah Island, South Carolina, husband of Patricia Grace Mesel entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 4, 2017. His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3871 Betsy Kerrison Parkway at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
Bob was born in 1936 in Fredonia, New York, son of the late Kenneth Mesel and Beatrice Catlin Mesel. He was a retired President of BP Chemicals. Robert was a former board member of Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, Stantec, Inc. and Canisius College Board of Regents.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Mesel of Kiawah Island, SC; son, Scott Mesel of Tampa, FL; daughter, Kathleen Heintel (Robert) of Wesley Chapel, NC; three grandchildren, Savannah Mesel of Celebration, FL, Grace Heintel and Emily Heintel, both of Wesley Chapel, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sea Island Habitat for Humanity, 2545 Bohicket Road, Johns Island, SC 29455 or Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3871 Betsy Kerrison Parkway, Johns Island, SC 29455.
