MSgt. Robert Emmet Kennedy, USAF Ret., 84, of North Charleston, SC, died Monday, September 22, 2014. His memorial service will be held, Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10:00 am in Cathedral of Praise, 3790 Ashley Phosphate Road. Inurnment with military honors will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive, North Charleston. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.

Robert "Bob" was born May 27, 1930 in Brainerd, MN, son of the late Michael Emmet Kennedy and the late Agnes Shellhorn Kennedy. He was retired US Air Force and attended the Cathedral Of Praise. He was very active in Veteran affairs and a member of the DAV Association. Bob was an avid hunter, loved fishing and was a very proud military man. He considered it his ministry in life to help other veterans.

He is survived by two daughters, Bobbi Jean Karras of Hudson, WI and Vivian Rooke-Johnson of Scott Township, PA; son, William Francis Kennedy Sr. of St. Petersburg, FL; brother, Allen Kennedy of ID; sister, Jean Bock of Brainerd, MN; grandchildren: Jolene Karras Fitzsimmons of Ocala, FL, Alissa Karras Deneen of Hudson, WI, Rachel Karras of Hudson, WI, Nathan Robert Karras of Hudson, WI, William Francis Kennedy Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL, Casey Mangnall of OR; and four great-grandchildren. His wife Rose Elizabeth Kennedy entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 10, 2014 and he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Allison Rooke of OR.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
