AKI Robert (Bob) William Hess, US Navy, (Ret)., 78, of Charleston, SC, husband of Ann Schipmann Hess entered into eternal rest Monday, December 22, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Friday December 26 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Robert was born January 13, 1936 in Connersville, Indiana, the son of the late Harold M. Hess and Ruth Bicknell Hess. He was retired from the United States Navy and Lockheed Missiles and Space Company.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Hess of Charleston, SC; two sons, Clinton Harold Hess (Natalie) of Charleston, SC, Robert Bryant Brabham of Del Ray Beach, FL; daughter, Patricia Hess of Charleston, SC; one grandson, Robert Bryer Hess; two sisters, Barbara Campbell, Ann Mays both of South Bend, IN, and family.
