Robert James Hall

Mr. Robert James Hall, 93, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Veterans Victory House in Walterboro, SC. The family will receive friends Friday, April 12, 2024, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC., from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held with military honors on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 1:00 pm in Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville, NC. 

A native of Bladen County, Bob was born to the late Remus and Pearl Chadwick Hall. He was a graduate of Elon University.  Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War.  Following his veteran service, Bob worked for a number of years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative where he retired from Winthrop Laboratories.  After retiring, Bob spent many years working at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina.

Bob will be fondly remembered for his love of family, friends, and his church. He enjoyed the outdoors planting in his garden and cooking on his grill. A loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, Bob will be greatly missed by the many who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Ann Hall, brother-in-law, Doug Allen, and stepdaughter, Nancy Avery.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen A. Hall; son, Allen Hall and wife, Kathy, of Johns Island, SC; brother, Joseph Hall, of Raleigh, NC; son-in-law, Mitchell Avery, Jr., of High Point, NC; grandchildren: Taylor Allen Hall, Ainsley Avery Royals (Steve), Jennifer Avery Mier (Stacy), and Julie Avery; great-grandchildren:  Carter Tyree and Caroline Avery.
