Robert Clifton Ford, Jr.

Robert Clifton Ford, Jr., 76, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Wanda Louise Thompson Ford, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, and his funeral service will follow beginning 3:00 pm. Burial will take place in Beaufort National Cemetery on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00 am.

Robert was born April 28, 1947 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Robert Clifton Ford and Elizabeth Louise Drose. Robert loved NASCAR racing, fishing, hunting, and traveling.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his sons, Clifton Frederick Ford (Angela) and Robert Melvin Ford; daughter Melissa Gaylin Barfield (Joseph); grandchildren, Samantha Davis, Bubba Ford, Lisa Ford, Bradley Rudd, Kimberly Garvin, Carmen Barfield, Alex Ford, Steven Stancil, Savannah Cone, and Lillian Ford; and great grandchildren, Peyton Davis, Kaylee Ford, Emmie Ford, Jax Ford, James Stancil, Matthew Stancil, and Emerson Stancil. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Willis Banyon Ford; and great grandson, Brantley Rudd.

Memorial donations can be made in Robert's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
