Robert Lee Ensley, (affectionately known to friends and family as R.L. and Bob) 76, of Moncks Corner, SC, husband of Martha A. Hipps Ensley entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 29, 2015. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road. The graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in Eton Cemetery in Eton, GA at 11:00 am under the direction of Peeples Funeral Home, Chatsworth, GA.
R.L. was born April 18, 1939 in Chatsworth, GA, son of the late Eugene Frederick Ensley and Ramie Childers Ensley. He was a graduate of Chicora High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College. He was an Army veteran and retired as a computer analyst for the Department of Defense. He was currently employed with Triad Isotope Nuclear Pharmacy. R. L. coached Hanahan youth athletics for 30 years and was a former member of Charleston Heights Baptist and Highland Park Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha A. Ensley of Moncks Corner, SC; two sons, Scott Ensley of Moncks Corner, SC and Mark Ensley and his wife Sherry of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren: Ashlee Ensley, Laura Ensley, Kali Ensley Render and her husband William, Tyler Ensley and Trent Ensley; three brothers: Arvil Ensley and his wife Barbara of Dallas, GA, William "Bill" Ensley and his wife Jeanette of Dahlonega, GA and Gary Ensley of North Charleston, SC. He was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Dietze and her husband Arthur; and twin sister, Janelle Tittle and her husband, Earl.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
