SCPO Robert L. Cox, Jr., USN Ret.,75, of Goose Creek, SC, died Tuesday, January 23, 2018. His graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Robert was born February 1, 1942 in Burnside, KY, son of the late Robert Louis Cox, Sr. and the late Elsie Hargis Cox. He served in the Navy for 28 years and was also a Major with the Charleston County Detention Center for 17 years.

He is survived by two sons, James Cox (Sara) of Goose Creek, SC and Robert "Bobby" King of GA; two daughters, Cindy Luciano of Goose Creek, SC, and Sharon Noto; of NY; and ten stepchildren.
