Entered into eternal rest on the morning of July 15, 2011, Robert Lee Collins, husband of Sandra Kahrs Collins.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  A gathering of friends will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Monday, July 18, 2011 between 5:00 and 7:00 pm. Burial services will be conducted at a later date.

Robert was born August 11, 1944 in Wilmington, North Carolina, a son of the late Allen Caddell and the late Cora Lee Caddell.  He attended schools in Awendaw and McClellanville.  He was a retired auto mechanic and was employed by Wulbern-Koval Company as a furniture installer.  Robert was a member of St. Barnabas Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years of Charleston; a daughter, Laura Lyn Garvin (Bennett); two granddaughters, Katherine Nicole Rich of Charleston and Ashley Christine Goodyear (Jason) of Goose Creek; a grandson, Christopher Andrew Slagle of Charleston; two great-granddaughters, Kara Lyn Ledbetter and Chloe Maree Craft; two sisters, Evelyn Neal (Jerry) of St. George and Linda Wrenn (Kim) of Wilmington, NC; and a cousin, Andrea Malpass of Leland, NC.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Denise Collins; a brother, Murray Lee Hughes and a sister, Louise Hicks.
