Robert Walter Cikowski

Robert Walter Cikowski, 71, of Mount Pleasant, husband of Joanne Mary Spohnholz Cikowski died Saturday, July 12, 2014. His Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 24, 2014 in Christ Our King Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Robert was born September 30, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Walter Cikowski and Josephine Socha Cikowski. He was a graduate of DePaul University, where he earned a BA in Accounting. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he was also a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, and partner in a CPA firm. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with family and neighborhood friends. He was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church.

Robert is survived by his wife of 49 years; his brothers, Allan Carl Cikowski and his wife Roberta, and Randall Joseph Cikowski and his lifetime partner John Proctor; his nephews, Richard Spohnholz, Jr., Steven Spohnholz, Aric Schillingburg, Marc Sponholz, Tom Cikowski, and Jim Cikowski; his nieces, Rachel Spohnholz, Dana Sponholz, Tina Cikowski Houston, and Linda Cikowski Costenaro; his aunts, Mary Socha, and Marilyn Goggin Socha; his uncle, Carl Socha; his great-nephews, Tyler Greenwood, John Spohnholz, and Hunter Greenwood; and his great-nieces, Trinity Greenwood, Alexis Spohnholz, Siena Spohnholz, and Stelle Spohnholz.
