Robert Lee Chaplin

Robert Lee "Bob" Chaplin, Jr., 81, of Hollywood, SC, husband of Ida Lois Strickland Chaplin entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 6, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Chaplin Cemetery, 4486 Chisolm Road, Johns Island. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel, Friday May 8, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Bob was born October 21, 1933 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Robert Lee Chaplin and Emily Heaton Chaplin. He served with the US Navy during the Korean War and was a retired Mechanic with Sears and Roebuck Company.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ida Lois Chaplin of Hollywood, SC, two daughters, Lynne (Joseph) Shands of Hartselle, AL, Robin Strickland of Hollywood, SC; three grandchildren, Natalie Richards, Jason Shands, Perry Shands and seven great-grandchildren, Chase Richards, Chandler Richards, Ava Shands, Madison Richards, Grayson Shands, Hannah Richards, Brody Shands and numerous nieces and nephews.
