Robert Owens Campbell

November 21, 1922 — December 26, 2011

On December 26, 2011 Robert Owens Campbell, widower of Mary Elizabeth Campbell of Isle of Palms, SC, entered into eternal rest. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services at the graveside Thursday, December 29, 2011 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm.

Mr. Campbell was born November 21, 1922 in La Grange, GA, the son of Robert Clark Campbell and Queen Leona Owens Campbell. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Quincy, FL and attended East Cooper Baptist Church. Bob was a member of The Isle of Palms Turtle Team, the Masonic Lodge, Pensacola, FL, and he was a Shriner. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, School of Building Science and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He served as a crew member of the 34th Bomb Group in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.

He is survived by his sister Ola Moody of Augusta, GA; his daughter Karen Galbavy and her husband Edward of Orange Park, FL; his son Alan O. Campbell and his wife Cindy of Mount Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren Stuart Campbell and his wife Natalia, Alana Campbell and Cayla Campbell.
