Robert "Bob" Burfeind

Robert "Bob" Burfeind, 81, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Lucy Ferri Burfeind entered into eternal rest Monday, April 17, 2023. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict Catholic Church Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Bob was born October 6, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late George Burfeind and the late Elizabeth Maher Burfeind. Raised in Brooklyn, he met and married, Lucy Ferri. They moved to Queens, then later to Girard, PA. Bob retired as a tool and die maker, with the Thomas Erie Company. He will be remembered for being a quiet man with a wonderful sense of humor, an avid enjoyer of White Castle burgers, an adorer of dogs, and for the way he loved his friends and family. 

Bob is survived by his loving wife of over 59 years, Lucy Burfeind of Charleston, SC; and all of his dog friends, "Charlie" the Shih Tzu, "Moose" and "Millie" the Boston Terriers, "Rocco" the Chihuahua, "Nero" the Golden Retriever, and "Halo" the Australian Shepherd. He was preceded in death by his beloved Golden Retriever, "Tara."
