Entered into eternal rest on the evening of July 8, 2012, LCDR Robert Eugene Baker, USN Ret., " Bob" , husband of Winnie Baker of Ladson, SC. The relatives and friends of Chaplain and Mrs. Robert E. Baker are invited to attend his funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 2 pm. Interment with military honors will be held in Bellefontaine Cemetery in Ohio. Friends may call at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Wednesday, between 7:00 and 9:00 pm.

Mr. Baker was born on July 23, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio the son of George Baker and Georgia Wertz Baker. He was a retired Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy where he served as a chaplain and was a member of Riverbluff Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Winnie Baker of Ladson, SC; son, Bob Baker of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Karen Lewandowski of Ladson, SC; step-daughter, Allison Williams of North Charleston, SC; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Young Baker; a step-son, Bryan Williams; and son-in-law, Stan Lewandowski.
