Rita Vose Marlow

Rita Vose Marlow, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Elmore Lawrence Marlow, Sr., entered into eternal rest Monday morning, January 22, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 in St. Johannes Lutheran Church, 48 Hasell Street at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Old St. Andrew's Parish Churchyard. The family will receive friends Wednesday in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Rita was born January 18, 1931 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Elmore Martin Vose and Marian Kennedy Vose. She was retired from South Carolina National Bank. She was a member of St. Johannes Lutheran Church. Rita is survived by her son, Jim Keller (Libby) of Cottageville, SC; daughter, Carol Keller Thompson (David) of James Island; two granddaughters: Melissa Lee Thompson and Erin M. Haggerty; step-daughter, Georgeanna Marlow Kicklighter; step-son, Elmore Marlow, Jr. (Cheryl); step-grandchildren: Elizabeth Kicklighter McMullan, Jane Kicklighter Manos (Peter), Joan Kicklighter Burger (Gary), John Kicklighter, Jr. (Julie) Elmore "Rocky" Marlow, III (Stacy); thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Elmore Vose; step-granddaughter, Robin Marlow Proudfoot; and son-in-law; John Kicklighter.
