Rita Brickman Kurtz, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Arthur Joseph Kurtz, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Her funeral service will be held graveside on Friday, November 19, 2021, in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery (Maryville), Sycamore Avenue, at 11:00 a.m. The funeral may also be viewed via livestream at https://youtu.be/_zRw2Pe_Xto. Rita was born June 16, 1931, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Samuel Brickman and Luba Kapler Brickman. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and a member of Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue.

Rita is survived by her husband of 67 years, Arthur; four children: Ari Michael Kurtz (Holly) of Atlanta, GA, Joel Douglas Kurtz, Dr. Lyle David Kurtz (Pam), and Amy Kurtz Goldstein (Eric), all of Los Angeles, CA; and 11 grandchildren: Missy Kurtz, Taylor Kurtz, Candice Kurtz, Amanda Kurtz, Lauren Kurtz, Samantha Kurtz, Jared Kurtz, Benjamin Goldstein, Zachary Goldstein, Shayna Kurtz, and Adi Kurtz.

She was predeceased by her son, Robert Neil Kurtz.
