Richard Alan Woods, 57, of Johns Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 10, 2013. His memorial service will be held Monday, August 12, 2013, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 7:00 p.m. Burial services will be held later in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until time of service.
Alan was born October 19, 1955 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Wyman Jean Woods and the late Marguerite Tidmore Woods. He was a heating and air conditioning mechanic and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his father, Wyman Jean Woods of Johns Island; two brothers, Wyman Jean Woods, Jr. of Moncks Corner and Michael Lee Woods of Johns Island; five nephews and three nieces.
Alan will always be remembered as a kind, giving and unselfish man with a big heart who loved everyone.
