Richard Douglas Weddington, 68, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Elizabeth Elise Simonson Weddington died Sunday, November 6, 2016. His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel one hour prior to the service.

Richard was born December 20, 1947 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, son of the late Richard Eugene Weddington and the late Helen Louise McMurray Weddington. He was a Certified Public Accountant in the offices of Weddington & Associates, LLC. Richard graduated from the University of Florida in 1969 with a degree in Industrial Engineering, was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth Weddington of Daniel Island, SC; son, Zachary Weddington of Philadelphia, PA; two daughters, Sloane Yon of Woodstock, GA and Kylie Weddington of Daniel Island, SC; one grandson, Tyler Grey Yon of Woodstock, GA.
