Richard Benjamin Wadford, 63, of Hanahan, SC, died Thursday, September 28, 2017. His graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Richard was born November 25, 1953 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Robert Wadford and the late Lucille Burrows Wadford Fields. Richard worked 35 years for Charleston Trucking as a mechanic. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by three sons: Robert Wadford, Hank Wadford and Zachory Goodyear; five sisters: Ann Frierson of Walterboro, SC, Barbara White of Hanahan, SC, Mary Wright of Conifer, CO, Jennie Keller of Moncks Corner, SC and Thereasa Morgan of Ladson, SC; two brothers, Henry Wadford of NC and Hubert R. Fields, Jr. of Hanahan, SC; one granddaughter; a host of friends especially Calvin "Butch" W. Duck III of Bonneau, SC. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bubba Wadford.
