Richard D. Spivey

Richard D. "Rick" Spivey, affectionately known as Papa, 53, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Mary Teresa Bally Spivey, died Thursday, September 16, 2010, in a local hospital.


Born September 23, 1956 in Charleston, SC he was one of 14 children of Daniel N. Infinger "Buster" Jr. and Hazel Lee Jones Infinger.  He dedicated his life first and upmost to his wife of 35 years and his two greatest blessings, his girls and grands along with many friends.  His second love throughout his whole life was always helping his customers who became life long friends.  He was the co-owner of Auto and Speed Parts with the late Thomas M. Benton.  He currently worked at Parks Auto Parts doing what he loved.


Mr. Spivey is survived by his wife, Mary Teresa Spivey of North Charleston, SC; two daughters, Recia Williams "Dani" and her husband Eric B. Williams of Goose Creek, SC and Richelle Spivey "Sweet Pea" of North Charleston, SC; Grandchildren, Erica D. Williams "Baby" and MaryAlease F. Williams "BooBoo"; God-daughter, Teresa Haynes of Hanahan, SC; siblings: Angela Ayers of Goose Creek, SC, Chris Infinger of Hanahan, SC and Kim Case of Goose Creek, SC; Dan Infinger III of Summerville, SC, Gene Infinger of Ridgeville, SC, Amanda Patterson of Goose Creek, SC, Miriam Crane of Florida, Jackie Corley of Greenville, SC, Lillian Saunders of Ladson, SC, Leroy Spivey of James Island, SC, Diane Fiddie of Summerville, SC, Jerry Spivey of Summerville, SC; sisters-in-law:  Cathy Haynes of Hanahan, SC, Vicky Felaire of Temecula, CA, Linda Pomier of Richmond, VA and Maureen Bally of Otto, NC; brothers-in-law, David Felaire and  Louis Felaire both of Suffolk, VA.  Ricky also has many aunts and uncles, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Albert Randall (Randy) Spivey.

The funeral service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Monday, September 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM.  Entombment to follow at Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Sunday, September 19, 2010 between 6:00 and 8:00 PM.
