Entered into eternal rest on evening of Thursday, January 11, 2012, Captain Richard Eugene Ridge, of Adams Run, South Carolina, husband of Margaret Jones Ridge. The relatives and friends of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Ridge are invited to attend the memorial service of the former Saturday January 14, 2012 in J.HENRY STUHR, INC. WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL at 11am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel (3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy.)

Born on July 21, 1954 in Newport, Rhode Island, Mr. Ridge was a retired Captain for the City of Charleston Fire Dept. He was a member of the SC State Firefighters Association, Charleston Firefighters Local #61, and also served as a County Constable.

Survivors include his wife Margaret J. Ridge of Adams Run, SC; mother, Regina Bendt Ridge of Charleston; 3 daughters Candice Elaine Majors (Frank) of Charleston, Heather Nicole Schults (Jason) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kellen Eilish Ridge of Charleston; a sister Libby Olson (John) of Charleston; 2 brothers, William Edward Ridge (Tammy) and Robert Ridge both of Charleston; 3 grandchildren, Kainen Schults, Olivia Santos and Owen Majors.
