Richard Allen Morris, 71, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, husband of Dorothy "Dot" Napier Morris entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 25, 2018. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, James Island.

Allen was born March 2, 1947 in Charleston, SC, son of Betty Johnson Schmonsees, and the late William J.A. Schmonsees, Jr. He was a USMC Veteran of Vietnam where he was a recipient of a Silver Star and two Purple Hearts.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dorothy "Dot" Morris of Moncks Corner, SC; mother, Betty Schmonsees; two daughters, Allison Morris Jackson (Justin), Dorothy Kitchens (Scott) all of James Island, SC; two sisters, Judy Dyches (Jimmy) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jackie McNamara (Jimmy) of Sullivan's Island, SC; brother, William J.A. Schmonsees, II (Chantale) of Washington, DC; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Cameron, Chloe, Fischer, Amelia, Gabriel, and Lucas.
