Richard Douglas Medlin, 68, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, husband of Janie Neel Medlin died Sunday, November 27, 2016. All services will be private in Charleston and a Memorial Service will be announced later in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Richard was born December 1, 1947 in Pelzer, South Carolina, son of the late Clyde Curtis Medlin and the late Dorothy Sherman Medlin. He was the CEO of Fruit of the Loom, Inc., Bowling Green, Ky.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janie Medlin; son, Jay Brandon Medlin; daughter, Jenna Medlin Nelson (George Bernard Nelson, Jr.); three grandchildren, Riley Augusta Medlin, Kielen Richard Medlin, and Rhein Walker Nelson; and sister, Patti Medlin.
