Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of October 16, 2010, Richard Winston Helena, Sr. of James Island, South Carolina.  All services will be private.  Memorial gifts may be made in memory of Richard Helena to an organization that was very dear to him, Love, Inc., 850 Godber Street, Charleston, SC  29412.  Arrangements by J. Mr. Helena was born on November 26, 1950 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, son of the late Col. Cecil Helena and the late Dorothy Bateman Helena.  He was a graduate of The Citadel and was a self-employed Security Consultant.  Mr. Helena also served in the Army Reserve. 

Surviving are his two sons, Winston Helena of Charleston and David Helena of Texas; a brother, Marshall Helena of Clemmons, NC; a sister, Carolyn Wade of Rock Hill, SC; and three grandchildren, Chris, Cameron and Averi.
