MCPO Richard Frank Fuller, USN,(Ret), 86, of North Charleston, SC, widower of Nancy Clark Fuller, entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 1, 2013. His funeral service will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., North Area Chapel (2119 Dorchester Road) at 3:00 pm. Burial following with military honors will be in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday in Stuhrs North Area Chapel, from 1:00pm until time of service.
Richard was born March 23, 1927 in Ludlow, Vermont, the son of the late Maynard S. and Nellie Goodrich Fuller. He was a retired Master Chief in the US Navy serving over thirty- years. Master Chief Fuller's distinguished career included service during Vietnam and WWII, aboard the USS Steamy Bay in the Atlantic and destroyer service in the Pacific. Following retirement Richard served at the CNSY in civil service at the Power Plant. He was an amazing father who was always supportive and loving and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his four daughters, Nancy Bolin of North Charleston, SC, Angie Stoe of Summerville, SC, Cindy Hay of Delphanie, WV and Valerie Benson of Chesterfield, NH; son, David Wiles; two brothers, Wayne Fuller and Paul Fuller of NH; six grandchildren; Ansley Bolin, Charlie Bolin, Carter Wiles, Julia Wiles, Sommer Stoe, and Iler Stoe; one great- grandchild, Emory Gosnell and brother-in-law, Dr. Robert "Bob" Clark of North Charleston, SC. Richard was predeceased by a son Peter "PJ" Bell.
