Richard Ellwood Cox, 72, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Susan Tyrrell Cox, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 22, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, prior to the service. For your safety, masks and social distancing are required. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.
Richard was born February 9, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio, a son of the late Elmer Jacob Cox and late Jean Cutlip Cox. He enjoyed fishing, camping and auto Restoration. Richard love his children and enjoyed spending time with them.
Besides his wife, Susan, he is survived by his daughters, Angela Cox, Christina Cox Tuppil and Susan Cox Evans; his sons, David Tyrrell Cox and Thomas Richard Cox.
