Richard Haig Bruggemann, 64, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Helen Louise Richbourg Bruggemann entered into eternal rest Friday, May 31, 2013. A gathering of friends will be held Monday, June 3, 2013 in J.HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, (3360 McConnell Parkway) from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

Richard was born October 15, 1948 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Gerhard H.W. Bruggemann and Margaret Haig Bruggemann. He was a retired automobile sales associate,a member of the SC Association for the Blind and the SC American Council for the Blind.He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Louise R. Bruggemann; son, Ashley Haig Bruggemann of Hanahan, SC; brother, Charles G. Bruggemann of Charleston, SC and sister, Nancy B. Gregory (Al) of Meggett, SC.
