Richard Leroy Baturin

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of June 16, 2011, Richard Leroy Baturin, Sr., husband of Beverly Parker Baturin.  Residence, Ravenel, SC.  Relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Baturin, Sr. are invited to attend his funeral service in Charleston Baptist Church, Monday, June 20, 2011, at 3 pm with military honors.  Committal services will be conducted at a later time in Thornley-Parker Family Cemetery, Moncks Corner, SC.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Sunday afternoon from 5 until 7 pm.

Mr. Baturin was born on June 20, 1946 in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Nicky and Lorraine Calhoun Baturin.  He attended the Baptist College was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army.  Mr. Baturin was a King Street Merchant and was an active Charleston bowler.

Surviving are his wife Beverly of Ravenel; son, Richard L. Baturin, Jr. and his wife Samantha of Summerville; daughter, Allison B. Steffens and her husband Craig of Charleston; brother, Ronald N. Baturin of Charleston; and two granddaughters, Brooke A. Steffens and Gracie C. Steffens.
