Richard Alan Barrickman, 63, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Cheryl Peloquin Barrickman, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. His funeral service will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 in the West Ashley Chapel at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Rick was born December 10, 1959 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Ira G. Barrickman III and Iris Carlson Barrickman. Rick served in the US Army for 6 years and retired from the SC State Ports Authority. He was also a member of the Charleston Rifle Club. Rick was a very good bowler, an avid Clemson and Dallas Cowboys fan, and a Fox News enthusiast.

In addition to his wife Cheryl, Rick is survived by his daughters, Taylor Kemp (Jesse) and Melissa Inman; siblings, Darryl Barrickman (Jennifer), Kyra Boucher (Rick), Tracy Farber (Karl), Ashley Barrickman (Eva), DJ Barrickman, and Janlyn Barrickman; in-laws, Judy Peloquin, Albert Peloquin, Karen Miller, and Chris Peloquin (Ann); one granddaughter, Abby Buckhannon; 19 nieces and nephews; 7 great nieces and nephews; and one grand pup, Hadley. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents Arthur N. and Iva S. Carlson, Ira G. (Pete) and Ida Belle Barrickman and Ruth V. Akers.

Memorial donations can be made in Rick's honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House.
