Rhoda Helen Freda

Rhoda Helen Zweibel Freda, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Dr. Richard Dobson died Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment following will be in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.

Rhoda was born August 14, 1929 in New York, New York, daughter of the late Moe Zweibel and Lillian Mittlesberg Zweibel. She was a graduate of New York University and held a Master degree in teaching from Hofstra University. Rhoda retired from the East Meadow School District as an English Teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Richard Dobson of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Karen Shaw Boettcher (Thomas) of Highland Park, IL; son, David Shaw (Tom Byrd) of Hutchinson Island, FL; sister, Carol Wolff (Arnold) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandson, Michael Boettcher (Kristen)of Lake Bluff, IL; granddaughter, Lindsay Pessis (David) of Seattle, WA; four great-grandchildren, Gavin Boettcher, Cole Pessis, Hayden Boettcher and Scarlett Pessis and her extended Dobson family, Lisa Craven (Chris), Rick Dobson (Camille) and Pam Hoyt (David). She was preceded in death by first husband, Thomas Joseph Freda.
