Rex "Jimmy" Dean, 74, of Batesburg, South Carolina, husband of the late Patricia Dulin Dean entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 16, 2026. His graveside service will be held Monday, June 22, 2026 at the Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 21, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Jimmy was born December 22, 1951 in Orange, California, son of the late Jimmy Dean and the late Christine Marcella Josey Dean. He found great pleasure in playing pool and fishing tournaments and was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, his enthusiasm for the game was unwavering and well-known. Jimmy was also a true family man, devoted to ensuring the well-being of those he loved, he made many sacrifices to ensure his family was always taken care of. His sense of humor was a gift, those fortunate enough to cross paths with him carry with them countless stories of laughter and kindness, reflecting the profound impact he had.

He is survived by children: Jeremy Dean of Batesburg, SC, Hannah Dean of Gilbert, SC; and Matthew Dean of Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Melanee Daniels (Ronnie) of Moncks Corner, SC.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Campbell.
