Reuben "Joe" Byrum, 76, of Hanahan, SC, widower of Maywood "Woodie" Dubose Byrum, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 25, 2022. His Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 1:00pm, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner, SC.

Joe was born June 15, 1945 in Anderson, SC, son of Reuben J. Byrum and Betty Hall Byrum. He was a electrician with SCE&G. He enjoyed being on the water, shrimping, fishing and camping with family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Shannon Joe Byrum of North Charleston, SC; daughter, Tonya Locke (Russell) of Belton, SC; three grandchildren: Seth Hegler of Charleston, SC, Jackson Locke and Ella Rose Locke of Belton, SC; a very special friend and caregiver, Sandra Knight.

He also leaves behind several beloved cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Woodie Byrum and his brother, Richard D. Byrum.
