Rebekah Victoria Barber

Rebekah "Becki" Victoria Barber, 48, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Her memorial service will be held Sunday, January 21, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. 

Becki was born April 20, 1975 in Islip, New York, daughter of Stewart Claire Barber and Vicki Serwatka Barber. Always athletic, as a 16 year old, Becki won the Erie County Recreation Department doubles tennis championship in Buffalo, NY. She also played soccer and basketball, and attended Eddinboro University in Edinboro, PA. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis as a 16 year old, she found comfort and friendship in her support group. Becki will be remembered for her sparkling smile and the way she loved her family.

She is survived by her parents, Stewart and Vicki Barber of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Tracey Richter (Gregory) of East Aurora, NY, Jennifer Beall of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Alicia Barber of Goose Creek, SC; three nieces, Kaitlyn, Allison, Grace; and nephew, Darren. She was preceded in death by sister, Michelle Barber.
