Rebecca Murphy Tollison, 92, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late Marvin Louis Tollison entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Magnolias of Santee. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service.
Rebecca was born July 4, 1923 in Great Falls, SC, daughter of the late Charles Ray Murphy and Jannie Robinson Murphy. Rebecca was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and sister. She was a homemaker for her family, and her personality allowed her to never meet a stranger. She was also a member of the Cooper River Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two children, Charles Murphy (Charm) Tollison of St. George, Mittie Tollison (Charlie) Feely of North Charleston, SC, three grandchildren, Charles M. Feeley, Tobey J. Feeley, Hannah A. Tollison, one great-grandchild, Ian C. Feeley, and two great-great-grandchildren, Zoey Elizabeth Feeley, and Oliver Aiden Feeley. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin L. Tollison, sister Frances Wolff and a grandson Christopher Feeley.
A special note of thanks to the staff at Magnolias of Santee who provided loving care for Rebecca over the last nine years. Thank you also to her nurse (Shari) and caregiver (Sally) with Homestead Hospice for their compassion and care.
