Rebecca Goen Joyner

Rebecca Goen Joyner, 84, of Goose Creek, SC, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Rebecca was born November 10, 1931 in Griffin, GA, one of four children of the late Emmett Goen and the late Doris Bethea Goen. She enjoyed singing, cooking, shopping, knitting and crocheting.

Rebecca dearly loved her family and is survived by three sons, Robert D. Joyner of Tucson, AZ, Jack Joyner of Ridgeville, SC and William Joyner (Cheryl) of Syracuse, NY; two daughters, Jennifer McCranie of Ridgeville, SC and Kelly Ashurst (Bob) of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Evelyn Lassiter of Walterboro, SC; grandchildren: Shawn, Jack, Amy, Josh, William, Nikki, Richard, Jonathan and Cody; great-grandchildren: Bradley, Carter, Kyler, Bentley, Benjamin, Faith, Jerrod, Brianna, Vincent, Elijah, Dawson, Samantha, Rollin and Emalyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Robert Joyner; sisters, Barbara Ann Mercer and Patricia Moorer; and grandchildren, Kurt and Jacob.
