Rebecca S. Johnson

Rebecca S. Johnson, 96, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 in Grace on the Ashley Baptist Church, 2014 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC at 11:00 Interment, Groomsville Baptist Churchyard, Moncks Corner, Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior in the church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Rebecca was born May 10, 1919 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Thomas Johnson and Mary Alma Sims Johnson. She graduated from Winthrop University and received her Master's Degree from Tulane University. Rebecca was a retired Social Worker at Connie Maxwell Children's Home. She was an active member of Grace on the Ashley Church.

Growing up in a family with nine siblings, Beck learned at an early age to work together and to serve others. Beck was a blessing to untold numbers of people through her mission work and service to everyone she met. Her baking and limitless sense of humor brought joy to many lives.
