Raymond Curtis Truesdale, 81, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Janice Smith Truesdale entered into eternal rest Friday, January 30, 2026. His memorial service will be held Monday, February 9, 2026 in the St. Andrews Church Mount Pleasant, 440 Whilden Street at 2:00 pm, followed by inurnment with military honors at the Columbarium. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Raymond was born October 27, 1944 in Kershaw, South Carolina, son of the late Raymond Curtis Truesdale Sr. and the late Martha Jane Mangun. A graduate of Mt. Pisgah High School, he retired from the U. S. Navy with 20 years of service.

He is survived by wife, Janice Truesdale of Mount Pleasant, SC; son, James Truesdale; daughter, Jennifer Truesdale of Moncks Corner, SC; three grandchildren, Savannah Ramirez (Rene'), Rebeccah Schavel, Jacob Schavel; two great-grandchildren, Jenson Paxson, Roslin Ramirez; and two sisters, Judy Talbert and Sandra Williams (Theron) all of Kershaw, SC. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth McClure.
