Raymond Lewis Buell

Raymond Lewis Buell, 60, of Ladson, South Carolina, husband of Joyce Lynn Smith Buell, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 5, 2022. His Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Beaufort National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the West Ashley Chapel.  

Raymond was born September 18, 1962 in Concord, California, son of the late Clyde Lewis Buell and Marion O. Dudley Buell. Raymond was retired US Army. Raymond loved to tell jokes and to make someone laugh. Raymond had much love for his family and closest friends. He also had may extended family and grandchildren. He was always a call away to help someone if they needed anything. He loved country music, westerns shows and the show Bones, unsweet tea, and his coffee with a pat of butter which he said “you can never have too much, there’s no such thing.” 

In addition to his wife Joyce Buell, Raymond is survived by daughters, Rachael Buell, Whitney Rivers (Steven), Chrissy Shook, Tiffany Watts; son, Raymond Lewis Buell, Jr.; grandchildren, Jonathan Watts, Alissa Shook, Kahlan Heydrick, Destiney Heydrick, Lexton Heydrick, Tianna Kamenicky, Sofia Rivers, Coltin Rivers and Rosalee Rivers. Also, in addition to many nieces and nephews and other family that took a huge part in his daily life: Tina (Danny, Shelby, Adam, Sebastian, Dakota), Michael (Crystal, Zoey, Katherine), Dorene (Tammy, Roger, Katie, Jennifer), Alvin (Ricky, Kevin, Kimberly), Charlie (Patrick), and Best Friend Stanley and his wife.

Following the burial there will be dinner with the family at 112 Columbia Drive at 6pm, October, 12. If anyone would like to contribute a dish it would be greatly appreciated. You can drop the dish off any time between Sunday October 9, 2022 and Wednesday October 12, 2022.
