Ray Wendell Crenshaw

Ray Wendell Crenshaw, 72, of Charleston, SC, husband of Nell Derrick Crenshaw, entered into eternal rest Friday, October 3, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Sunday, October 5, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 3:30 pm. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 2:30 p.m. until time of the service.

Ray was born November 5, 1941 in Lancaster, South Carolina, son of the late Ray M. Crenshaw and Wilma Goodman Crenshaw. He was a graduate of Lancaster High School class of 1960, and Clemson University class of 1995. He retired from The Citadel after 38 years as Director of Administrative Computers and Senior Analyst. He was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church and former Church Treasurer and Council.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nell D. Crenshaw of Charleston, SC; son, Ray Brian (Laurie) Crenshaw and grandson, Ray Ryan Crenshaw, all of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Diane Moseley; brother, Randy Crenshaw, both of Lancaster, SC; close friends: James, Crystal and Jay King; and his little buddy, Blu.
