Randy Lee Staley

Randy Lee Staley, 55, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Claire Beth Boston Staley died Tuesday, March 17, 2015. His funeral service will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 in St. George's Episcopal Church, 9110 Dorchester Road at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Randy was born September 15, 1959 in Frankfurt, Germany, the only child of Dale Irven Staley and Jean Marie Schmidt Staley. He graduated Kecoughtan High School in Hampton , VA and earned his bachelor degree in education at University of Kansas: Rock Chalk Jayhawk, Go KU! An ardent model railroader, Randy continued his family's fascination with trains. He was a teacher in the Dorchester District 2 School System.

Randy married his true love and high school sweetheart, Claire, in 1986. Together they have two children, Phillip and Nicole. Randy's parents, Dale and Jean Staley of Hampton, VA also survive him.

Because Randy developed juvenile diabetes at the age of 13, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Palmetto Chapter, 810 Dutch Square Boulevard Columbia, SC 29210 or to support his favorite hobby, Charleston Area Model Railroad Club, c/o Citadel Mall, 2070 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., Charleston, SC 29407.
