Randolph S. Lowder, 81, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Gloria Rourk Lowder passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017. His funeral service will be held graveside Monday, March 13, 2017 in the Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Randy was born August 1, 1935 in Charleston, SC son of the late Hugh P. Lowder and Elma Corbett Lowder. He was a retired boat manufacturer and continued working until retirement as a courier for a local law firm. He was also a member of James Island Baptist Church.
Randolph is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria; two daughters: Sandra L. Edmondson (Buddy) of Charleston, SC and Susan L. Brannock (Stephen) of Summerville, SC; two sons: Allan Lowder (Debbie) of Charleston, SC and Wayne Lowder (Chris) of Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren; Christy (deceased) Kristopher, Jennifer, Rachel, Andrew, Lainey and Zachary and 5 great-grandchildren.
