Randall Lafayette Roquemore

Randall Lafayette Roquemore, 77, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Glenda Barrineau Roquemore passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013. A Celebration of Randall's Life will be held Thursday, October 17, 2013 in the Hibben United Methodist Church, 690 Coleman Boulevard at 2:00 pm. Interment will be private at a later date. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Randall was born June 25, 1936 in Hemingway, South Carolina, son of the late Robert James and Lucille Cannon Roquemore. A graduate of Andrews High School, he attended Baptist College in Charleston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and retired from Charleston Research, a division of Westvaco. A member of Hibben United Methodist Church, Randall volunteered with Methodist Relief Center in their commitment to providing quality housing for senior adults. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing pool and was a league player.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Glenda Roquemore; his two daughters, Sally Bare and her husband, Steve of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Karen Lockard and her husband, Lou of Elkton, MD; his grandchildren, Brian Barton, Ellen Bare, and Davis Bare; and his brother, Robert J. Roquemore, Jr. and his wife, Phoebe of Camden, SC. He is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.
