Ralph G. Risher

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of May 2, 2010, Ralph Girvin Risher, husband of Dolores Newman Risher.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at eleven o'clock in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 1519 Sam Rittenberg Blvd.  Interment, Bethany Cemetery.  Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Tuesday from five to eight o'clock and Wednesday at the Church one hour prior to the service. 

Ralph was born on December 19, 1929 in Charleston, SC, the son of Snyder Lee Risher and Ruby Porter Risher.  He was a retired electronics engineer with the Charleston Naval Shipyard.  A proud supporter of the National Rifle Association, he also enjoyed playing handball and softball, and was a church league basketball coach and proud player of the Charleston "Rinky-Dinks".  He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; four sons: Randy (Deby) Risher of Charleston, SC, Donnie (Teresa) Risher of Alpine, UT, Douglas (Kathryn) Risher of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Richard (Cheri) Risher of Georgetown, KY; seventeen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.  He is predeceased by his brother, Donald Risher, his sister, Clair Talent and his granddaughter, Nicole Risher.
