Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of Saturday, January 14, 2012, Ralph Eaden Perry, widower of Annamarie Gessner Perry and husband of Barbara Ulsh Kohler Perry of Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Perry are invited to attend the Funeral Services of the former Tuesday January 17, 2012 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel (3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy) at 12:00 pm. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
Mr. Perry was born August 4, 1928, son of the late John W. Perry and Edna Sires Perry. He was retired as a Code #133 Ship's Inspector with the Charleston Naval Shipyard serving for 38 years. Following retirement, Ralph worked with Barbara at George's Sunshine Center, West Ashley. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Knights of Pythians.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara U. Kohler Perry of Charleston, SC; daughter, Maria Edna Perry Brockenfelt and her husband, Jerry of Summerville, SC; three sons, Ralph E. Perry, Jr. and his wife, Teresa of Charleston, SC, David K. Perry and his wife, Connie of Moncks Corner, SC and Raymond Mark Perry and his wife, Sandra of Adams Run, SC; step-daughter, Carolyn K. Brown and her husband, James of Johns Island, SC; two step-sons, Robert C. Kohler Jr., of Wadmalaw Island, SC and Albert H. Kohler and his wife, Carol of Wando, SC; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren and eight great-step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, John W. Perry Jr.
