Priscilla Lovejoy Clement, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Allen B. Clement, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 in Grace United Methodist Church, 1601 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial with Military Honors in Beaufort National Cemetery Monday, December 22, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.
Priscilla was born August 10, 1921 in Rockland, Maine, daughter of the late Maurice F. Lovejoy and the late Ethel Murphy Lovejoy. She served in the WACs during WW II as a stenographer, and it was during this time that she met her beloved husband. She was a guide for Middleton Place for over 30 years, past president and member of Drayton on the Ashley Garden Club, and a dedicated member of Grace United Methodist Church for over 40 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Ginger Green (Buff) of Charleston, SC, and Ann Fossett (Larry) of Decatur, GA; a son, Allen Clement of Charleston, SC; and a granddaughter, Virginia Ann Green of Charleston, SC.Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1601 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29407.
