Polly Welker Clark

Polly Welker Clark, 95, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, December 16, 2024. 

Polly was born September 5, 1929, in Lexington, Kentucky, daughter of the late Charles K. Welker and Jeanette Capps Welker. She was a Legal Secretary for over 30 years in Greenville and Charleston, South Carolina. Following her retirement, Polly volunteered at MUSC for 13 years. She was active in the Methodist Church all her life where she taught Sunday School and MYF for many years. Polly's greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Clark-Mullins; two sons: Jim Clark (Nancy) and Dave Clark (Chris); five grandchildren: Stewart Clark, Keely Mullins, Jenny Yokoyama, Noah Clark, and Chloe Clark; and four great-grandchildren: Alison Clark, Madison Clark, Joshua Clark and Clark Yokoyama. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Downtown Chapel. 

Memorials in Polly's memory may be made to the ETV Endowment of South Carolina, 401 E. Kennedy Street, Suite B-1, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
